Utilities - Replace Customers

Introduction

This document will explain the customer replacement options that are available for a user to make their own changes. This will cover replacing both customer and stores. The replace program is used to move all the history from an existing account or account/store to a new one.
*** Please note that prior to running this program, a full verified backup of the JAS data should be done.
**** All users must be logged out of JAS in order to be able to access this menu option. If you receive a message stating that the file access is denied, it means that someone is still logged into JAS.
 

Getting Started

Go to:

  • Utilities
  • Replace Programs
  • Replace Customers

 


Select one of the 5 options:

  1. Change Account
  2. Change Store#
  3. Change a main account to the Store of another Account
  4. Change a Store to a main Account
  5. Change a Store from one account to another account

Options


Change Account#

Enter the Old Account number and the New Account number.

Click Add.

 


If there are multiple accounts to be changed simply repeat the above procedure.

Once all accounts have been entered, click the Proceed button.


The user will have the option to continue the replacement or cancel.

'Yes' - to Continue

'No' - to Cancel


The user can save the changes in a log file to retain a record by clicking 'Yes'.

The zz160log.log will be save in the corresponding data company.


Once the program goes through all tables (orders, picking tickets, invoices, AR, credit notes, etc.) the user will be advised.

Click OK.


Change Store #

Enter the Main Account, the Old Store number and then the New Store number. Click Add and Proceed.

Follow the prompts.


Change a main account to the Store of Another Account

Enter the Old Account, the New Account and the New Store number. Click Add and Proceed.


Change a Store to a main account

Enter the Old Account, the Old Store and the New Account. Click Add and Proceed.

Change a Store from one account to another account

Enter the Old Account, Old Store, New Account and New Store. Click Add and Proceed.
