System Update Procedures

System Update Procedures

Introduction

The following wiki provides a step by step explanation on the system update function in JAS. This feature is used to update files after Jonar has connected to the user's system and placed new files in the Xfer directory of JAS. These can be fixes for jobs, customized programs, or complete upgrades of the system that have been downloaded from Jonar's site.

Setup

Running an update is only required when a message appears in the top right-hand corner in the JAS menu.

In the JAS main menu, go to:

  • "File";

  • "System Update".

The following message will appear as the program runs.

In order for the program to run successfuly, users cannot be in the system.

If someone has remained in JAS the following message will appear.

The user must click OK and the System Update can be run at a later date.

When the update is run successfully, a message of "Finished" will appear.

Click "OK" and everyone can return to JAS.
