Resolving the Error 39 message - Running out of UPC Numbers
The following wiki contains instructions on how to add or change sequence numbers when all the UPC numbers have been used up. When the system runs out of UPC numbers, the following error message will display:
- When creating new UPCs, the program will use the UPCs that have not been assigned to any styles
(starting from the sequence# that the user has entered).
- The user can reset the sequence number to a lower number, since the program will skip any UPCs that are already in use.
- If the user does not have any free UPCs, then they will have to apply for a new MFG# and use that to create the new UPCs.
A. In JAS, go to: - Go to SpecialX
- Processing
- Assign UPC Numbers
| |
B. Before selecting an MFG#: - Right click on the SEQ# (the user will be prompted to change the sequence number).
- Change the sequence number to a number close to the ones deleted in step 1.
(the program will then go through all the subsequent numbers to find all the numbers available thereafter).
