Replacing a SalesRep in the Customer File

Replacing a SalesRep in the Customer File

Introduction

It can occur where you need to replace all of the transactions associated with one salesrep, to a new one. For example, Rep B assumes the position of salesrep A, receiving commission for completing the old rep's sales. The following document explains how to do this in JAS.

Instructions

In the JAS main menu, go to:

  • Reps
  • Processing
  • Change Salesreps

Enter the Salesrep codes.

Under "Change Rep From" enter the old salesrep.

Under "Change Rep To" enter the new salesrep.

The following selections can be made to only update certain customers in JAS, rather than everything:

  • Account
  • Regions
  • Province
  • Division

Change the Order File:

  • Selecting 'Yes' will update the order header for any open orders as well as the customer file.
  • Selecting 'No' will not update the order header and will only update the customer file.

Once complete, click "Update".

If any customer accounts have been changed by the update, the user will receive a message confirming this.

If the option to update the order file was selected and there are open orders to update, another message will display.
