Rebuilding a Corrupted .cdx File in EDI

Introduction

The following wiki explains how to resolve the following error message in JAS:

Error 2066
Index file “J:\aimstest\edipro\mbox\00000009\posln.cdx” is corrupted. Please rebuild it.

Resolving this message

Step 1: Delete the cdx files

Open explore and go into the directory where the file is located. This can be found by using the path listed on the error message.
  1. In this example, it is J:\aimstest\edipro\mbox\00000009.


In the directory delete the cdx file. CDX files are okay to remove; it does not affect the data.
Important note: Do not delete the dbf file
In this example, the posln.cdx is corrupted.



Step 2: Reindex and pack/index the mailbox where the file is corrupted

The mailbox number where the file is corrupted is listed on the second line of the error message. In this example, it is mailbox 00000009.

In EDI go to:

  • Maintenance
  • Browse/Update Mailbox


Click on the appropriate mailbox.
Click on "Reindex mailbox".


Once a reindex has been run, click on "Pack/Index Mailbox".
