JSI User File Maintenance

JSI User File Maintenance

This wiki will illustrate how to create a new username and password in JSI, while also attributing access to the user according to their specific allowances or responsibilities.

Creating a JSI Username and Password

A user must sign into JSI with a master password to access this areaGo into:

  1. "Utilities",
  2. "User File Maintenance".

The "User ID" field is 10 characters in length but only the first 9 characters can be used at any time.  Any combination of letters or numbers can be used. A message appears to confirm the new user. Click "OK".

If this user also has a username/password in JAS, the same should be used in JSI.

Fill in all the required fields. There is an option to "COPY" the access from one user to another if users have identical (or similar) duties.  (If duties are not identical, copy the user and then adjust afterwards)

Click "Add" to complete the creation of the new user.

If the user should be a 'Master User', simply click on Master.
Click on Update to save the change.

Giving a User Access

After creating the user, a message will appear in red indicating that the user doesn't have any access to the system.

There are 3 areas for each user that will need to be accessed.

The "Alternate Menu" is only available if this option is applicable to your setup.
