Explanation of the "Scale cannot be changed" Message
Introduction

When attempting to change the size scale, a user may come across the following error message:

The Message alerts you that the change was not rendered successful, and lets you know that the scale cannot be changed.

Reason

The reason behind not being able to change the size scale for that particular style/color can be due to an invoice, cutting ticket, or PO association with that Style/Color. The status of any order that is linked to the style/color is also a factor.

There are two options that may be possible to avoid this error.

1- Change the size scale to another with an equal or greater number of size buckets.

For example: Size Scale A has 12 size buckets, Size B has 10, and Size C has 12.

Size Scales A and C are potentially interchangeable.

2- Adding mock sizes to reach a number of equal size scales.

For instance,  Size Scale A has 12 size buckets, whereas Size Scale B has 10

If you would like to change the size scale to B, you could add 2 extra size buckets to enable you to go forth with the change.

The option of exchanging one size scale for another would have to be analyzed to make sure that the size buckets are comparable, and for that reason interchanging a size scale with another of a smaller size bucket is invalid, because you would be losing a whole size and obstructing your inventory. In addition the algorithm will not know how to offset the scale.
