Creating PDF Reports for Non-Standard Reports
Introduction
Webster's dictionary defines a PDF, also known as a Portable Document Format, as "a computer file format for the transmission of a multimedia document that is not intended to be edited further and appears unaltered in most computer environments". In JAS, many reports are able to be exported to PDF. With the standard formats in JAS (format W & X), the option to select "PDF Output" is available directly from the Report Destination screen.
It can occur where a user wishes to export a report to PDF that is not a standard format. For example, a user may want to print a report using format "R". In these cases, the option to select "PDF Output" is not available on the Report Destination list. The following wiki explains how to export a report to PDF for a format that is not part of standard.
Although the following example is used to explain how to export a Picking Ticket to PDF, it is important to note that this option can be used for many reports in JAS.
Setup
In the main JAS menu, go to:

Select the appropriate picking ticket format and the picking ticket. Once complete, select "Proceed". | |
Select "Print Setup". | |
Select "PDF Writer" for the Printer Name. | |
Click on "Print". | |
The Print Setup screen will reappear. Click on "Ok". |
