Creating pallets for multiple UPCs

Creating pallets for multiple UPCs

This function can be used if one of your trading partners wants to use one SKU to represent multiple UPC's. We call these Pallet Styles.

To set up a regular "Pallet" style, in the JAS main menu, go to:

  • Style menu
  • Maintenance
  • Add/change

Create a new style or modify an existing style that will represent the pallet style.

Enter P besides 'Pallet'. This will register the style as a pallet style.

Select 'Update' to accept these settings.

Adding the Component Styles for the Pallet Style

Before a pallet style can be completed, the component styles must be created as well. Once these styles are created you can proceed with adding them to the pallet.
Setting up a pallet style

Go to

 - Styles
 - Maintenance
 - Add/Change
Enter:

 - The regular pallet style number. in this example we used style COSTCPI
 - Click on the BOM button
In the BOM for this style:

 - Click on the style Tab
 - Click on the "Add" button
 - Enter the various existing JAS styles that will be the components for this Pallet style
*** When entering the BOM make sure to select the option:

             - "Each style uses a different Material Color"

Continue creating the pallet styles as described until each component has been added.

Order entry and invoicing of a pallet style

When an order line is entered for the pallet style, it will include the component styles. When that order is invoiced, the inventory of the component styles will be reduced.

Reports

All reports with pallet and component options will work as they do now. Once the order is saved, the order pallet lines are exactly like any other pallet components as far as the system is concerned.
