Contractor Tracking Issue and Receipts

Introduction

The contractor Tracking Subsystem is a separate group of programs used to track Cutting Tickets that are issued to your contractors. 
The Contractor Tracking Issue and Receipts subsytem allows you to:
      1)       Calculate the actual labor cost involved in manufacturing your styles.
      2)      Monitor your goods at each step of the manufacturing process.
      3)      Keep track of the payments to your contractors.
Note: As an optional feature, the Contractor Tracking system can be linked to the Accounts Payable module in JSI.

Setup


In the main JAS menu, go to;

  • W.I.P.
  • Contractor Tracking
  • Issue Receipts

Enter a cut ticket number

If the ticket has not been issued previously to a contractor, the rest of the screen will be blank.

Click on "Add" to either:

a. Issue pieces to a contractor.

or

b. Receive pieces back from a contractor.






 CONTRACTOR: Enter the contractor code.  This code must already exist in the vendor file.

 MFG CODE: Enter the Manufacturing Code from the Code File.

 TRN CODE: The Transaction code can be I for Issue, R for Receipt or D for Damaged.

 REASON: If the transaction code is D, you will be asked to enter a Reason Code.

 PIECES: Enter the number of pieces that are being sent to or are being received from the contractor.

 RATE: If this is an Issue, enter the rate per unit for the process.  A Receipt will already have the rate entered.

 DUE DATE: Enter the date that the goods are to be received back from the contractor.

 NOTE: Enter up to two lines of notes.  The second line will show up in the “PAYNOTE” field of the main grid.

 UPDATE: Click update to accept the information entered and return to the main screen.





 DETAIL: The Detail button displays all of the Contractor Tracking entries for the Cutting Ticket.

 SUMMARY: The Summary button summarizes the details lines into one line for each contractor.  When you click on this button, only the Summary lines will display.  Click on Detail again to see all of the lines.

 MODIFY: Once you have entered lines in the main entry grid, you can modify the information by highlighting a Detail Line and clicking Modify.  Note: You cannot modify a summary line.

 UPDATE: After entering or modifying your lines, click Update to accept all of the changes.

 PAYMENT: After a receipt has been entered, the dollar value for the work done will display in the “Payable” field on the main grid.  Click on Payment to pay the contractor.

On the Payment screen click on "Add" and enter
 the payment information in the fields provided.

Click "Modify" to change the information.

"Delete" will erase the payment.

"return to header" will take you back to the main
Contractor Tracking screen.
