Introduction

This document explains to the user how to change the date in JAS. Changing the date in JAS allows the user to create transactions using the selected date as the creation or entry date.

Note: The JAS date must fall within certain parameters; it cannot be less than the accounting cutoff date. This is to prevent users from entering transactions once accounting has closed the month-end. If you try to enter a date that is prior to the accounting cutoff date, a message will display.

Instructions

In the JAS main menu, go to:

  • File
  • Change Date

Enter the desired date.

Select Ok.

The 'new' date will be listed in the top left-hand corner.
