Introduction
When you sign up with a new trading partner, or if you're switching over to Banyan completely, Banyan will send you a form. The form varies slightly depending on if you are switching to Banyan for multiple trading partners or just one; but the general layout is the same.

The first part of the form asks for the contact information, and the second half asks for the trading partner information.

The following document explains how to fill in the trading partner(s) section of the form.

Set-up
The information required to fill this form can be found in EDI in Browse/Update Mailbox.

Company Name:
  1. The name of the trading partner
Contact Name:
  1. Your direct contact at the company

Communication:

  • If there is a check mark in the field called “AS2 Mailbox”, then AS2 is the communication method.
If there is not, select VAN. The option for FTP does not apply.

Partner’s Qualifier:

  • On the left-hand side of the Browse/Update Mailbox screen there is a field that says “Their ID”. The two-character code is the partner’s qualifier. In this example, it would be “01”.

ISA ID:

  • This is the field listed right next to the partner’s qualifier.
  • In this example it would be “202377222”.

Your Qualifier:

  • On the left-hand side, there is a field that says “My ID”. The two-character code is your ID.
  • In this example it is “12”.

Partner's VAN & Your Current VAN:

These fields can be left blank. Banyan will fill out those fields.

Important Notes:
The IDs change for each mailbox. Thus, if you are trying to switch existing mailboxes to go through Banyan, every mailbox that you are going to be using for Banyan has to be included in this form. For example, you have three mailboxes for Holt Renfrew. This must be done three times for Holt Renfrew.
If this is a new trading partner and you are trying to set up the initial configuration, this only needs to be done once.
