Adding size bucket(s) to existing style scale
Introduction
The following wiki provides a step-by-step explanation of how to add size bucket(s) to an existing size scale and update existing styles with this change. In order to do this, we will use the replacement program, and all users must be out of JAS for it to work.
Step 1: Setup
Verify that the following switches are on before proceeding.
In the JAS main menu, go to:
- Setup
- Installation Parameters
- Special Options

In "Style 1", ensure that Change the size count and add new sizes at end of bucket" has a check mark.

In "Style2" ensure that "Allow changing the size scale" and Allow changing the size scale title" is set to "Y"

Add bucket(s) at the end of the style scale
No additional selection required, go directly to step 2 after the setup.
Add bucket(s) at the beginning of the style scale
In the JAS main menu, go to:
- Utilities
- REPLACE Programs
- Shift scale to the right

Select the scale that the user wishes to modify.
Select the amount of size that the user wishes to shift the scale by.
Insert a checkmark in the "Update Scale File."
Click on "Proceed."

Click on "YES" to purge log file.

The Program will go through all styles with this scale and make the change. a message will appear to state that the replacement has been completed.

Step 2: Update the size code
In the JAS main menu, go to:
- Setup
- size
- codes/prepack

Note the size bucket for scale "3" is empty
Select "Modify"

Simply type in the correct letter/number in the bucket and click "update".

Step 3: Activating added sizes
In JAS go to:
- Styles
- Maintenace
- Add/Change
|
|
Click on the "A" listed next to the scale. |

The new size entered will not be activated |
|
to activate it, insert a checkmark under the size bucket and click on "Update". |

The new size bucket will no longer be greyed out, which means it is now available for use. | |
