Accidentally Cancelling Lines on a PO

Introduction

It can occur where a user accidentally cancels lines on an SIT that is linked to a PO. Once these lines have been cancelled, it cannot be re-instated on the SIT. The following document explains how to resolve this.
 

Step 1: Modify the PO

In JAS go to:

  • P.O.
  • Processing P.O's
  • Purchase Order Modify/Cancel
Enter the appropriate PO number and click on "Proceed".

If the PO has a (C)losed status, click on "Status" to re-open the PO.

  • Note: The PO cannot be modified if it is closed.
Click on "Open".
Click on "Lines".
Click on "Add Line".
Enter the appropriate line and click on "Update".
Click on "Back to Header".
Click on "Update".
A message will appear informing you that the PO was updated.


Step 2: Modify the SIT to add back those units

In JAS go to:

  • P.O.
  • Shipment In Transit Subsystem
  • Processing
  • Create/Modify Shipment

Enter the appropriate PO number.

Click on "Status".

A message will appear asking if you want to reopen the shipment.

Click on "Yes".

The status of the SIT will now be open.

Click on "Lines".

Click on "Add".
Enter the appropriate PO number.

A screen will appear with the units on the PO.

Select the appropriate line and click on "Proceed".

A new line will be added to the SIT.

Click on "Update".

Select "Back to Header".

Click on "Exit".

The user can then proceed with receiving the units, if applicable.
